About the Mint

For over 50 years, we have had the extraordinary privilege of presenting Australian nature, culture and history on the coins you use every day.

Everyone has a coin story to share. Whether it was the first gift from the tooth fairy, the sixpence in the Christmas pudding, the vital ‘heads or tails’ decision, or the time spent collecting and admiring special pieces.

As the sole producer of Australia’s circulating coins, we have our own unique perspective on this story which we share with thousands of visitors each year.
